The study is designed lo discover the web use behavior of under graduate students of arts, science, commerce and management streams in Govt. First Grade College, Ankola, Uttar Kannada in terms offer's background. purpose of use, searching skills, query formulation, frequency of use, favorite search engine etc. which helps the researcher to understand the student's search behavior on web. The data in the present study is based on questionnaire and observational methods. The sample size selected was 300, out of which 252 filled questionnaires from the students and are selected for analysis of data. The research sutdy helped to know the importance of web resources for academic tasks, use of Google search engine for information retrieval and many other major findings. The findings of the study will help the information professional to discover knowledge assets or web resources to fulfil information needs of the students. Keywords

Any new technologies which are adapted in library systems are dependent on the user’s perspectives and use of information in a way they are needed. Selective approach to use technology and dissemination of information will be based on preference studies. Internet of Things (IOT) the next generation of Internet is information emitting technology through sensors. So observation makes its way here and observation theory will evolve more concertized metrics giving more stress on the concept called” Observation Metrics”. The eye of the contention is that the IOT is the future in day to day life; every single entity will be an object emitting information as “observation becomes powerful”. Libraries will again play a new role in providing “Information at their will”. The Observation model represents the Information flow in context of IOT applications in Libraries and data observed becomes more valid and proceed to information and Knowledge. What is the derivation here is equation for Observation Metrics as the first application formulae. Keywords

Term plays an important role in our everyday life. We start with a term which leads to a search. The importance of term has developed with development of the literature. Hence term is a descriptor of the concept or the text in the process of a search. Historically term made its reference long back, which enabled to be the main technique in understanding the search for text and used extensively for communication. The article here is trying to define the process and concept with definition of term casting and “term o pyramids” as a model is conceptualizing the term and its relation in building an index through a process of term casting and term searching. Keywords
